We are spying a new trend over here and we love it!
Many of our customers talk about their love of flowers but feel that they don’t get to enjoy them as long as they like before the flowers start to perish. We totally understand the struggle of keeping flowers in the house and keeping yourself in check with a realistic budget. Well, struggle no more and have it all because now you can treat yourself to a bundle of dried flowers. I’m spying an uptick of dried flower, forever floral arrangements purchases and requests at the shop and it’s starting to become one of the biggest flower trends this year. So if you are a fan of dried botanicals, hop on the bandwagon and check out some of our favorite dried flower ideas:
1. Dried Wreath
A great way to decorate your door – a dried wreath is a great way to welcome your guests into your home. The possibilities are endless here where you can go with something simple and clean with just dried greenery, add a pop of color with some dried flowers or go with a more modern wreath to decorate your house with. Here are some of our favorites.
2. Dried Garland
Garlands are no longer hip for the holidays – a dried eucalyptus garland is a lovely way to decorate your fireplace mantel or dining room table. Add some dried flowers in there and you have a lovely tabletop decoration ready for a party at a moments notice.
3. Pressed Flowers and Foliage
This option is great for those who are limited in space. Take a few blooms and foliage, press for a few weeks and you have an instant way of decorating your walls. Placing pressed flowers in floating frames or shadow boxes gives a modern spin on an ancient ritual that dates back 4,000 years! The possibilities are truly endless.
4. Dried Flower Wall Display
Do you have wild ambitions of covering your wall with flowers? Well look no further because this may be the day it comes true. Instead of wall paper (cause we all know that’s a bit of a pain and major commitment) why not collect some of your favorite dried flowers and display them to the wall or hang from the ceiling? It’s the perfect way to add some color and nature to your indoor space without the wallpaper paste and commitment.
